Aliah University Changed the Last Date of Admission Form. All questions of AUAT- 2018 (UG and PG) will be 80% from the relevant subject and 20% on General knowledge and Islamic Culture. The paper of AUAT-2018 examination is of 1hour duration (50 marks in total) for UG and 1 ½ hours duration (100 marks in total) for PG programmes. Part II of the Question paper for

a)all B. Tech.programmes will comprise of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
b)all UG programmes (except B. Tech.) will comprise of relevant subjects only.
c)Nursing programme will comprise of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
d)Integrated BBA-MBA programe will be on basic Mathematics, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, Commercial Arithmetic and elementary knowledge in concerned area.
e)all 2-years Masters programmes (including M. Tech programmes) except MJMC, will be on the concerned subject.
f) MJMC will be on English (concept of Language and Literature), Fundamentals of Journalism & Mass Communication having its role as fourth pillar of Indian Democracy, Sports and Cinema..
g)3-year MCA program will comprise of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Problem Solving Questions, Discrete Quantitative Analysis and Basic Mathematics.
i) LATERAL ENTRY to B. Tech programe will be comprised of Engg. Mathematics, Basic Computer Science, Strength of Material, Engg. Mechanics Environmental Engg. & Basic Electrical Technology.


Questions in all papers will be of objective type in multiple choice questions (MCQ) format, which are to be answered on a specially designed machine-gradable sheet (ORS-Optical Response Sheet) using Black/Blue ball point pen only.
For the language programmes (3-year B.A. and 2-year M.A. in English, Bengali and Arabic) it may have 20% marks of descriptive questions also. The qualifying marks for descriptive part are 50%in English and Bengali).
Final merit list for UG & B.Ed. courses will be prepared on the basis of academic score and AUAT-2018 score.
For PG courses merit list will be prepared on the basis of AUAT-2018 score.

(a) Candidates applying for AUAT-2018 should have passed / expected to pass the qualifying examination listed in Section 6.1
(b) Candidates should meet the age requirements as mentioned in the brochure

Qualifying Examination for UG programmes:

a) The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board, such as West Bengal Council of
Higher Secondary Examination (WBCHSE), West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education (WBBME), Central Board of Secondary
Education (New Delhi) (CBSE), Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC), etc.
b) Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
c) Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy.
d) General Certificate of Education (GEC) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
e) High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University.
f) Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in any foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian
Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system.
g) Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with a minimum of five
subjects or H.S. Examination Conducted by W.B. Council of Rabindra Open Schooling.

Important Notes

1. All admissions will be provisional for those candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in the year 2018.
Admission through AUAT-2018 will stand cancelled if the proof of having passed the Qualifying Examination, as per the eligibility
criteria is not submitted on the date of Admission to Aliah University.
2. All admissions are subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documentations of the candidates. If an applicant is
found ineligible at a later date even after admission to a programme, his/her admission will be cancelled. The decision of the
authority regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.


AUAT-2018 will be conducted in the following cities/ towns. However for B. Ed, Nursing and all PG courses center will be held only in Kolkata.

Candidates have to download and print their admit cards from the University website by logging in by putting their application form number (Application id) and date of birth (password) before one week of concerned examination.Candidates are requested to follow university website (admission section) for regular updates.
No admit card will be sent to the respective candidates.
The Admit Card will bear the Name, Photograph, Signature, Address, and Category of the candidate along with Name and Address of the Examination Centre allocated. The candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card received by him/her for all the entries made therein. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate should inform the AUAT office immediately.
